Welcome to United Generation.
As the parent of a middle-school student, you are well aware of the social and emotional upheaval that often occurs in the gap between elementary school and high school. Students are excited to gain new freedom and responsibility, yet are confused by issues they likely have not faced before. Transit is a place where 6th, 7th and 8th graders can go every Sunday to be connected with other students who can relate and Youth Leaders dedicated long term to guiding through the confusion toward spiritual maturity.
Transit meets on the 3rd floor at 11:00am and blends relevant teaching and inspired leadership to create effective solutions to middle school challenges.
93% of your child’s spiritual formation will come from home, so that makes your job very important. We want to partner with you to be sure your child is getting the most out of experiences with God and the Church.
There are three main ways you could get involved:
1) LEADERSHIP: You could get involved on Sunday Mornings and join the rotation of Small Group leaders that meet weekly with our young people for 20 minutes to build real relationship with them.
2) MINISTRY Direction: You could get involved in Wednesday evening services for anything from organizing the setup crew to greeting our guests.
There are several positions that come together to make United Generation an unforgettable and life-changing experience for your child and for young people around the East Bay area.
3) PRAY: You could pray on a consistent basis for us. Pray that young people find the Church to be essential to their lives, and that the Church continues to find ways to make young people essential to the Church. Pray for our leaders and youth – that God would keep us strong and continue to give direction, and that He would send “laborers into our path.”
